Professor Amanda Burls, a former director of the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme, has produced a mobile app called BestEvidence that enables users to get access to the best available evidence at the time it is needed. It works by accessing the TRIP database which searches many resources, including PubMed and the Cochrane Library. A special free CASP version of BestEvidence is available.
